We tell the stories behind the biggest scripted TV series and the people making them.
From interviews with actors and writers to deep dives with directors, showrunners and producers, analysis of the latest trends, and on-set reports, DQ explores the craft of making television drama.
We also highlights numerous other aspects of production, from costume, production and make-up design to casting, location scouts, visual effects and music, to find out how those in the business do what they do, both in front of and behind the camera.
DQ showcases the hottest new shows airing around the world in our monthly Series to Watch articles, as well as highlighting some of the actors, writers and directors with new projects to watch out for in the annual DQ100 — our rundown of some of the most exciting, intriguing and highly anticipated projects airing this year, next year and beyond.
Over the past decade, DQ has built up a loyal audience online and in print that trusts us to celebrate the creativity and craft of the international television industry and serve as a guide to what to watch.
And now we’re asking those readers to become subscribers.
From Tuesday March 24, our content will move behind the paywall, with subscriptions at £7.50 per month or £75 per year.
DQ will also launch soon on Substack, where new content will be simultaneously published to allow subscribers to receive the latest Drama Quarterly stories and newsletters directly in their inbox or via the Substack app or website.
Not everything will go behind a paywall – DQ’s coverage of the latest first-look images and trailers from up-and-coming series will still be accessible to all, so readers can continue to discover Drama Quarterly.
We hope you will come with us on this journey and become one of our valued subscribers for the price of a pint of beer or a glass of wine.
You know it’s worth it!
