SkyShowtime sets Śleboda cast

Maria Dębska (Autumn Girl), Maciej Musiał (1899) and Piotr Pacek (Kos) are set to star in Śleboda, the first SkyShowtime original series commissioned in Central and Eastern Europe.

Filming is now underway in the Podhale region of Poland on the six-part series, which is based on the first instalment in the crime novels by Małgorzata Fugiel-Kuźmińska and Michal Kuźmiński.

The series revolves around a young anthropology doctor from Cracow, Anka Serafin (Dębska), who flees to the mountains seeking self-discovery, only to stumble upon a dead body.

She quickly becomes entangled in solving a murder mystery and finds herself crossing paths with Sebastian Strzygoń (Musiał), a shameless journalist on the hunt for a scoop, and Jędrek Chowaniec (Pacek), a local police officer, who she shared a teenage romance with.

Directed by Michał Gazda and Bartosz Blaschke, Tomasz Augustynek is the cinematography. Magdalena Szwedkowicz is the producer.

SkyShowtime is available in Albania, Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
