TRAILER: Sky and US streamer Peacock have released a first look teaser of The Day of the Jackal, a 10-part series starring Eddie Redmayne that will debut this November.

Redmayne stars alongside Lashana Lynch and Úrsula Corberó in the series, which is described as a modern reimagining of the seminal novel by Frederick Forsyth and subsequent 1973 film from Universal Pictures.

An unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal (Redmayne) makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.

Money Heist star Corberó plays Nuria, someone at the heart of The Jackal’s personal life, unaware of who he truly is.

Other cast members include Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Timothy Winthrop, Richard Dormer (Blue Lights) as Norman, Chukwudi Iwuji (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3) as Osita Halcrow, Lia Williams (The Capture) as Isabel Kirby, Khalid Abdalla (The Crown) as Ulle Dag Charles,  Eleanor Matsuura (The Walking Dead) as Zina Jansone, Jonjo O’Neill (Andor) as Edward Carver, Nick Blood (Slow Horses) as Vince, Sule Rimi (Classified) as Paul Pullman and Florisa Kamara (Eastenders) as Jasmin Pullman.

The series is produced by Carnival Films and is written and adapted by Ronan Bennett (Top Boy). Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones) is the lead director.

Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant are executive producers for Carnival Films. Redmayne is also an executive producer, and Lynch a co-executive producer on the project. Sam Hoyle is the executive producer for Sky Studios. Sue Naegle is also an executive producer and Marianne Buckland is a co-executive producer.
