Netflix has announced two new Harlan Coben novels, Missing You and Run Away, will be adapted for television.

The news follows the launch of Fool Me Once, which debuted on January 1 and drew 61 million views in its first two weeks, reaching the Top 10 in 91 countries worldwide.

Missing You begins 11 years ago, when Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she’s never heard from him since. Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.

It is written by Victoria Asare-Archer and directed by Sean Spencer and Isher Sahota. The producer is Guy Hescott, with Coben, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, Asare-Archer and Danny Brocklehurst executive producing. Filming begins this spring.

Meanwhile, in Run Away, Simon had the perfect life: loving wife and kids, great job, beautiful home. But then his eldest daughter Paige ran away and everything fell apart. So now when he finds her, vulnerable and strung out on drugs in a city park, he finally has the chance to bring his little girl home. But it turns out she’s not alone and an argument escalates into shocking violence that will shatter Simon’s life all over again. His search for his daughter will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever.

It will be written by Danny Brocklehurst (Fool Me Once). Coben, Shindler, Fee and Brocklehurst are exec producing.

Missing You and Run Away will both be produced by Quay Street Productions, with Coben an executive producer through his Final Twist Productions.

The two projects will be the ninth and tenth on-screen adaptations to be produced from Coben novels, across four languages, through his ongoing creative partnership with Netflix.
