FIRST LOOK: Here’s Jenna Coleman (Wilderness, The Cry) in The Jetty, a new drama coming to BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Blending coming-of-age story and detective thriller, the four-part series opens as a fire tears through a holiday home in a scenic Lancashire lake town. Detective Ember Manning (Coleman) must work out how it connects to a podcast journalist investigating a missing persons cold case and an illicit ‘love’ triangle between a man in his 20s and two underage girls.

But as Ember gets close to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life – forcing her to re-evaluate everything she thought she knew about her past, present and the town she’s always called home.

Coleman stars alongside Archie Renaux (The Greatest Beer Run), Laura Marcus (The Great Escaper), Bo Bragason (The Ballad of Renegade Nell), Amelia Bullmore (Happy Valley), Ruby Stokes(Lockwood & Co), Tom Glynn-Carney (House of the Dragon), Weruche Opia (High Desert), Matthew McNulty (The Rising), Ralph Ineson (Nosferatu), David Ajala (Italian Studies), Nina Barker-Francis (The Flash), Miya Ocego (Wreck), Elliot Cowan (Fifteen-Love), Shannon Watson, Arthur Hughes (Then Barbara Met Alan),Dominic Coleman (Paddington) and Ruaridh Mollica (Sebastian).

Produced by Firebird Pictures, it is written and created by Cat Jones. The director is Marialy Rivas (Young & Wild). The executive producers are Elizabeth Kilgarriff, Sarah Wyatt, Cat Jones, Marialy Rivas, Jenna Coleman and Jo McClellan for the BBC.

Filming has wrapped and the series is expected to air in 2024 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. BBC Studios are the international distributors of the series.
