BBC renews Bafta-winning Such Brave Girls
BBC and Hulu series Such Brave Girls, which won the 2024 Bafta Television Award for scripted comedy, has been renewed for a second season.
Such Brave Girls explores life and love in all its ugly chaos. Josie (Kat Sadler), her sister Billie (Lizzie Davidson) and their mum Deb (Louise Brealey) attempt to claw their way towards a better life. Armed only with an ability to see the line and boldly step over it, these very brave girls finally have a chance to explore themselves.
The six-part series is a VAL production for BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, and Hulu in the US. The executive producers are creator and writer Kat Sadler, Jack Bayles and Phil Clarke for Various Artists Ltd in association with A24. The director is Simon Bird and the producer is Catherine Gosling Fuller.
The series was renewed for a second season before it was presented with the Bafta Television Award for scripted comedy at last night’s ceremony, while Sadler was also recognised for Emerging Talent: Fiction at the recent Bafta Television Craft Awards.
