TRAILER: Michelle Keegan, Faye Marsay and Warren Brown return down under for season two of Ten Pound Poms, which will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday, March 9.

Written and created by Danny Brocklehurst (Fool Me Once, Ordinary Lies) and made by Eleven (Sex Education, Red Rose), the series follows a group of Brits leaving post-war Britain to embark on a life-changing adventure on the other side of the world.

Heading into 1957, nurse Kate Thorne (Keegan) is trying to forge a future for herself after season one followed her journey to Australia in search of her son, Michael. For the Roberts family (led by Marsay and Brown), Terry is determined to find stability and put down roots, whilst Annie rediscovers herself and uncovers exciting opportunities Down Under.

With each determined to make Australia everything they hoped it would be for a fresh start, will Kate, Terry and Annie finally get a slice of the Australian dream they were promised?

Robbie (Nic English) rekindles his friendship with Kate, whilst a new character – the unscrupulous landlord Benny Bates (Marcus Graham) – is introduced.

A coproduction with Stan in Australia, Brocklehurst writes with Ryan Griffen (Cleverman) alongside Smita Bhide (The Indian Detective). Ana Kokkinos (Fires, The Hunting) and Tom McKay (Jerk, Bloods) are directors on the series, whilst the series producer is Karl Zwicky.

Joel Wilson, Olivia Trench, Sophie Williams and Jamie Campbell executive produce for Eleven. Executive producer for the BBC is Gaynor Holmes, and Cailah Scobie and Amanda Duthie are executive producers for Stan.

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) will distribute the series worldwide.
