Creature Commandos
This adult animated series based on the DC Comics characters debuts on US streamer Max this December. The premise sees a secret team of incarcerated monsters recuited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans.
Dexter: Original Sin
Here’s a teaser for the upcoming Paramount+ with Showtime prequel to the original Dexter series, charting how the title character (played by Patrick Gibson) transitions from student to avenging serial killer in 1990s Miami.
Doctor Who: Joy to the World
Ncuti Gatwa’s 15th Doctor will next appear on screen in this year’s Christmas special, titled Joy to the World, ahead of his second full season on the BBC in the UK and Disney+ worldwide in 2025.
A spin-off series, The War Between The Land & The Sea, was also announced. It will star Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in a five-part story that begins when a fearsome and ancient species emerges from the ocean, dramatically revealing themselves to humanity and triggering an international crisis. With the entire population at risk, UNIT step into action as the land and sea wage war.
Like A Dragon: Yakuza
Based on the Sega game series, this series is set between 1995 and 2005 and follows the life, childhood friends, and repercussions of the decisions of Kazuma Kiryu, a fearsome and peerless Yakuza warrior with a strong sense of justice, duty and humanity. It launches on Prime Video on October 25.
Teacup
Inspired by Robert McCammon’s novel Stinger, this Peacock series follows a group of disparate people on a ranch who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat. It debuts in the US on October 10.
The Penguin
Colin Farrell (top) transforms into Batman nemesis Oz Cobb (aka The Penguin) for this HBO series debuting on September 19. It continues the story that began in Matt Reeves’ 2022 feature The Batman.

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance
