This drama, which premiered at Series Mania in Lille this week, is a French adaptation of UK series Cleaning Up, which starred Sheridan Smith as a gambling addicted mother who uses her position as a cleaner at a city office to start insider training in a bid to clear her debts. Here, Poisson takes the lead as Lola, a cleaning lady whose chronic debt threatens her battle with her ex-husband to retain custody of their two children. When she discovers a broker at the bank where she works is involved in insider trading, Lola uses these financial tips to play the stock market – a plan that forces her into a dangerous double life.

After Molly receives a diagnosis of stage IV metastatic breast cancer, she decides to leave her husband Steve (Duplass) and begins to explore the full breadth and complexity of her sexual desires for the first time in her life. She gets the courage and support to go on this journey from Nikki, who stays by her side until the very end.

Meanwhile, Brennan’s only meaningful relationship is with his estranged daughter, Carly (Peake), with whom he has not had any contact since his arrest over a decade ago.
