SBS sets romantic drama Four Years Later
FIRST LOOK: Filming is underway on Four Years Later, a romantic drama coming to SBS Australia.
Set across two timelines and told from two perspectives in both Hindi and English languages, the story explores the love story of newlyweds Sridevi and Yash, who have to endure four years apart when Yash lands a medical traineeship in Australia.
The series follows Yash and Sridevi’s turbulent time apart and their reconnection, while examining themes of the changing nature of love, intimacy and belonging.
Starring Indian actors Akshay Ajit Singh (24: India) and Shahana Goswami (Bombay Begums) as Yash and Sridevi, it is created by Mithila Gupta (Five Bedrooms, Bump) and features a writing team all with South Asian heritage: Mithila, Nicole Reddy and S Shakthidharan. The series is directed by Mohini Herse (Appetite) and Fadia Abboud (Year Of, Five Bedrooms).
Four Years Later is produced by Easy Tiger’s Ian Collie and Rob Gibson (Colin From Accounts, The Twelve), Stephen Corvini (Hungry Ghosts, Safe Harbour) and with the support of Indian production company Suitable Pictures. ITV Studios is the distributor.
