
Prime Video hunts down The Assassin
TRAILER: Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore star in The Assassin, a six-part action thriller that will debut on Prime Video in the UK & Ireland on Friday, July 25.
Hawes stars as Julie, with Highmore as her estranged son Edward as they are forced to flee an idyllic Greek island when Julie’s dangerous past catches up with her. With questions around Edward’s paternity and Julie’s past life as a hit woman, the pair go on the run across Europe, working together in a fight for survival.
Along the way, their dysfunctional relationship is tested to its limits. They uncover a dark conspiracy they believe to be their only threat, but a greater danger emerges that could destroy their relationship entirely. In a race against time, Julie fights to save Edward and salvage their relationship as past and present collide in a showdown across the globe…
The cast also includes Gina Gershon, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Gerald Kyd, Devon Terrell, Richard Dormer and David Dencik.
Created by Harry & Jack Williams, it is produced by their Two Brothers Pictures (The Tourist, Boat Story, Fleabag) in association with Germany’s ZDF and Stan in Australia. All3Media International is the distributor.
