FIRST LOOK: Eve Myles, Katherine Kelly, Dougray Scott and Elliot Edusah star in The Crow Girl, a thriller coming to Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland early in 2025.

Based on Erik Axl Sund’s novel of the same name, The Crow Girl is a psychological thriller that begins when the bodies of unidentified young men start to show up around the city, beaten and full of the anaesthetic lidocaine.

DCI Jeanette Kilburn (Myles) and partner DI Lou Stanley (Scott) are on the hunt for the killer, but with a lack of evidence and pressure to solve the case mounting, Jeanette enlists the help of prime suspect Carl Lowry’s psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven (Kelly), who offers a fresh but troubling perspective on the case. With the killer inching ever closer to home, Jeanette and the team are in a race against time to untangle the web of secrets to solve this mystery.

The first images show Myles (We Hunt Together, Keeping Faith) as lead investigator DCI Jeanette Kilburn, alongside her longtime partner and former mentor DI Lou Stanley played by Scott (Irvine Welsh’s Crime, Vigil) as they head deep into the investigation on the hunt for the elusive killer.

Kelly (Mr Bates vs the Post Office, Liar) is the sophisticated and poised Dr Sophia Craven, a psychotherapist whose psychological assessment of suspect Carl Lowry, brings her into the realm of DCI Jeanette Kilburn’s investigation. DI Stanley can be seen shadowed by diligent rookie DC Mike Dilliston, played by Edusah (Django, 1917, Pirates), as Lou takes Mike under his wing during his first murder investigation.

The cast also includes Clara Rugaard (The Rising) as Victoria Burkeman, Victoria Hamilton (COBRA) as Superintendent Verity Pound and Chloé Sweetlove (My Husband’s Double Life) plays Madeleine.

The six-part series is produced by Buccaneer (Irvine Welsh’s Crime, Marcella). Milly Thomas created the series, writing four episodes as well as executive producing, with Charles Martin and Rebecca Rycroft both serving as directors.

Tony Wood and Richard Tulk-Hart are executive producers for Buccaneer and Andy Mosse is the producer for the series, which is distributed by ITV Studios.
