Paramount+ opens The Revenge Club
FIRST LOOK: Martin Compston, Aimée-Ffion Edwards and Meera Syal lead The Revenge Club, a darkly comic six-part series coming to Paramount+ in the UK & Ireland on December 12, 2025.
Based on the novel The Othello Club by JD Pennington, the series follows six lonely, hapless strangers brought together by a divorce support group, each reeling from betrayal and heartbreak. With little in common beyond their emotional baggage, they form an unlikely bond and come up with a wildly misguided idea: to take revenge on the people who broke their hearts.
What starts as a cathartic outlet quickly spirals into something far more chaotic, as their retribution escalates from petty pranks – forged exam papers, tarot cons, and rat invasions – to deadly accidents. As the group’s plans grow bolder, the line between justice and madness begins to blur – and someone might just take things too far.
Compston and Edwards play Calum and Emily, with Syal as Rita, Sharon Rooney as Rachel, Douglas Henshall as Steve, Chaneil Kular as Tej and Amit Shah as Malcolm.
The cast also includes Owen Teale, Aoife Kennan, Rob Malone, Niamh Walsh, Wil Coban, Christina Bennington and Eoin Duffy.
Written for television by Gabbie Asher (The Girlfriend, Sanctuary), it is produced by Gaumont. Alison Jackson and Jess Connell executive produce for the UK division of Gaumont. Asher is an executive producer with Pennington, with episodes also written by Matt Jones and Adam Usden.
Tim Kirkby (Don’t Forget the Driver, Fleabag) is the lead director alongside Daniel O’Hara (The Red King, Stay Close. Margot Gavan Duffy is the producer.
The Revenge Club will be available exclusively on Paramount+ UK & Ireland. Fremantle is handling international sales.
