Netflix unveils Squid Game S2 images

FIRST LOOK: Here are the first images from the upcoming second season of Korean drama Squid Game, which is set to arrive on Netflix this year.

From writer/director Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game tells the story of a group of desperate contestants who risk their lives to become the final winner in a mysterious extreme survival game with a 45.6 billion won cash prize.

After becoming a global phenomenon after its launch in 2021, the second season will now follow Gi-hun as he abandons his plans to go to the US and starts a chase with a motive.

Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo reprise their roles from the first season, with new cast members including Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yuri and Won Ji-an.

The series is produced by Firstman Studio. The executive producer is Kim Ji-yeon.
