Netflix discovers How to Get to Heaven from Belfast
TRAILER: Roísín Gallagher, Sinéad Keenan and Caoilfhionn Dunne star in How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, the new series from Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee that debuts on Netflix on February 12, 2026.
Clever, chaotic TV writer Saoirse (Gallagher), glamorous, stressed-out mother of three Robyn (Keenan) and dependable, inhibited carer Dara (Dunn) have been a tight-knit group since school. Now in their late 30s, but still as close as ever, these three friends are about to embark on the most thrilling adventure of their lives.
When an email arrives, telling them about the death of the estranged fourth member of their childhood gang, a series of eerie events at her wake set them on a dark, dangerous and hilarious odyssey through Ireland and beyond as each tries to piece together the truth of the past.
McGee is the creator and writer. She also executive produces with Caroline Leddy, Michael Lennox, Liz Lewin, Jimmy Mulville and Jessica Sharkey. The director is Michael Lennox and the producer is Brian J Falconer.
The eight-part series is produced by Hat Trick Productions.
