Michaud’s methods
Canadian series Victor Lessard is described as a fast-paced psychological thriller that tells the story of a determined detective on the hunt for the culprits of some unspeakable crimes.
The series comes from writer Martin Michaud, who has adapted his own crime novels to bring it to the screen.
In this DQTV interview, Michaud reveals more about the titular character, who isn’t afraid to break the law to capture those he suspects of wrongdoing.
He also talks about how he has been inspired by Swedish writer Henning Mankell, the author behind the Wallander series, and how Montreal becomes a character in Victor Lessard.
Michaud also discusses how he separates his roles as novelist and screenwriter, and the challenges that come having both roles.
Victor Lessard is produced by Pixcom Productions for Québecor Média and distributed by ZDF Enterprises.
