ITV returns to the water for After the Flood S2

First Look

FIRST LOOK: Sophie Rundle reprises her role as Jo Marshall in season two of mystery thriller After the Flood, coming soon to ITV in the UK and BritBox in North America, Australia and the Nordics.

S2 finds newly promoted detective Jo Marshall (Rundle) on the trail of a baffling new murder investigation. As tensions simmer in Waterside amid the rising threat of moorland fires and the subsequent risk of further flooding, a body is discovered in bizarre circumstances. Jo’s race to stop the killer brings her into direct conflict with powerful and influential forces within the town, ultimately drawing her into an investigation that becomes deeply personal.

Lorraine Ashbourne returns as Molly Marshall, with Nicholas Gleaves as Sergeant Phil Mackie, Philip Glenister as Jack Radcliffe and Matt Stokoe as Jo’s husband, Pat Holman.

Faye McKeever also returns as Kelly Kamali alongside George Bukhari as Keith Kamali and Maui Connock as their daughter, Sophie Kamali. Tripti Tripuraneni will be returning as PC Deepa Das, Heider Ali is DS Babak, Leo Flanagan is Finn and Jacqueline Boatswain returns as Sarah Mackie.

Joining the cast are Alun Armstrong as Alan Benson, Jill Halfpenny as DS Sam Bradley, Ian Puleston-Davies as Tony Rower and Matthew McNulty as Xav Palmer.

Anil Desai is DCI Balsara, Steph De Whalley plays Harriet Benson, Nathalie Armin is Layal, Tony Marshall is Fraser Tempest, Roger Morlidge is Geoff Dixon, Oliver Nelson is Declan Rower, Donna Rower is played by Jenny Platt and Lola Brown is Izza.

The six-part series is written, created and executive produced by Mick Ford and produced by Quay Street Productions.

Executive producers for Quay Street are Nicola Shindler (Nolly, It’s A Sin), Richard Fee (Fool Me Once, Missing You), Azhur Saleem and Sophie Rundle. Huw Kennair-Jones is executive producer for ITV, and Robert Schildhouse and Stephen Nye for BritBox International.

Ford is the lead writer alongside episode writers Joe Forrest and Maxine Alderton.

Fiona McAllister (Significant Other, After the Flood) is the producer and Azhur Saleem (Outlander: Blood of my Blood, Doctor Who) returns to direct episodes 1-3 with Tom McKay (Ten Pound Poms, There She Goes) on board to direct episodes 4-6.

ITV Studios handles international distribution.

After the Flood S2 is coming soon to ITV and STV, with streaming available on ITVX, STV Player, and BritBox in North America, Australia, and the Nordics.
