Hulu, Disney explore The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox

FIRST LOOK: Grace Van Patten stars as the title character in The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, a limited series coming to Hulu in the US and Disney+ worldwide this August.

With Knox herself among the executive producers, the drama is inspired by the story of how Knox (Van Patten) was wrongfully convicted for the tragic murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her journey to set herself free.

The series also stars Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico and Roberta Mattei.

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox comes from 20th Television in association with The Littlefield Company. KJ Steinberg (This Is Us) is creator and executive producer.

Executive producers also include Warren Littlefield, Lisa Harrison, Ann Johnson and Graham Littlefield (The Littlefield Company); Monica Lewinsky (Alt Ending Productions); Amanda Knox & Chris Robinson (Knox Robinson Productions); and Michael Uppendahl, who also directs.

The series will premiere on Wednesday, August 20 on Disney+ in the UK & Ireland, on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally, with two episodes at launch, then one new episode weekly.
