Channel 4 in another Big Mood

FIRST LOOK: Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West reunite for the second season of Channel 4 comedy Big Mood, which is set to return in 2026.

It’s been a year since Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West) last saw each other, without any contact between the best friends. When Eddie suddenly returns for a wedding, she isn’t alone – Maggie has competition, in the form of an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney. Can Maggie and her special brand of chaos find space in Eddie’s new life? Or will Maggie lose Eddie forever?

Returning cast members also include Robert Gilbert, Eamon Farren, Niamh Cusack, Amalia Vitale, Luke Fetherston, Rebecca Lowman, Stephen Sobal and Kate Fleetwood.

Joining Big Mood for S2 are Hannah Onslow, Marine Bye, Marcus Collins, Munroe Bergdorf, Kyran Thrax, Kelly Campbell, Leo Wan, Zachary Hart and John Locke.

Produced by Dancing Ledge Productions’ (Prisoner 951, The Responder), it is written and created by Camilla Whitehill. It will be directed by Rebecca Asher (Brooklyn 99) who returns for this season.

Lotte Beasley Mestriner also returns to executive produce with Laurence Bowen and Chris Carey for Dancing Ledge Productions. Whitehill, Rebecca Asher, Coughlan and West also executive produce. Nadia Jaynes joins as producer. Tubi is a coproducer for the US and Canada.

Big Mood S2 will launch on Channel 4 and Tubi in 2026. Fremantle is handling global sales for the series.
