BBC takes bite of Wild Cherry
FIRST LOOK: Eve Best, Carmen Ejogo, Imogen Faires and Amelia May feature in new images from Wild Cherry, Nicôle Lecky’s six-part coming-of-age drama navigating privilege, power and social media that will debut this November.
In Richford Lake, things are perfect for super-mum Juliet (Best) and business mogul Lorna (Ejogo), but when their teens Grace (Faires) and Allegra (May) are accused of a shocking scandal at their exclusive private school, toxic secrets and lies ripple throughout the community.
The cast also includes Lecky, Sophie Winkleman, James Murray, Nathaniel Martello-White, Jason York, Isabelle Allen, Catriona Chandler and Tara Webb.
Wild Cherry is produced by Firebird Pictures for BBC iPlayer and BBC One. It is written and created by Lecky with Toby MacDonald (Extraordinary, Fifteen-Love) directing. The executive producers are Elizabeth Kilgarriff, Craig Holleworth for Firebird Pictures, Lisa Walters, Nicôle Lecky, Toby Macdonald – and Lucy Richer for the BBC. The producer is Ado Yoshizaki Cassuto.
