ABC, BBC uncover Treasure & Dirt
FIRST LOOK: Michael Dorman and Liv Hewson star in Treasure & Dirt, a new Australian crime drama now in production in South Australia for ABC, in association with the BBC.
An adaptation of the novel by Australian author Chris Hammer, Treasure & Dirt follows homicide detective Ivan Lucic who is sent to investigate the mysterious and grisly murder of a miner in an Outback opal town. Joined by rural detective Nell Buchanan, the two are drawn into a labyrinth of secrets, greed and old sins that won’t stay buried. As the case twists into something darker and more surreal, Ivan and Nell can’t tell whether it’s the town that’s unravelling or themselves.
Dorman (Territory) and Hewson (Yellowjackets) lead a cast that also includes Sarah Peirse, Thomas M Wright, Mark Mitchinson, Eamon Farren, Kelton Pell, Steve Le Marquand, Arnijka Larcombe-Weate, Dean O’Gorman, Ling Cooper Tang, Elena Carapetis, Roman Mellis, Nathan Jones, Zane Blumeris, Bessie Holland, Kris McQuade, Glenda Linscott and newcomer Evie Greay.

The six-part drama is being filmed entirely in South Australia by Easy Tiger Productions (Territory), in association with the BBC, with filming taking place in Coober Pedy, the Flinders Ranges and locations across Adelaide.
Executive Producers are Ian Collie, Rob Gibson and Matt Cameron. It is produced by Rebecca Summerton and directed by Madeleine Gottlieb. Sphere Abacus is handling worldwide distribution.
