Amanda Seyfried navigates Long Bright River for Peacock
The Dropout’s Amanda Seyfried will star in and executive produce Long Bright River, a Peacock limited series based on Liz Moore’s novel of the same name.
The suspense thriller sees Seyfried play Mickey, a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighbourhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis. When the area plays host to a series of murders , Mickey realises that her personal history might be related to the case.
From Sony Pictures Television and UCP, showrunner Nikki Toscano (The Offer, Hunters) and Liz Moore (Long Bright River) will write and executive produce the series. Neal H Moritz, Pavun Shetty and Amanda Lewis will also executive produce for Original Film and Amy Pascal will executive produce for Pascal Pictures.
Hagar Ben-Asher (Bad Boy, Dead Women Walking) will direct and executive produce the first episode.
